First time dying my hair
I wonāt be going to āSallyāsā anymore. The professionals at Marieās know exactly what you need to achieve the look you want and will walk you through it. I went from dark hair to rose gold in less than two hours at home. First time dying my hair color. The instructions given by their team were dummy proof. If I would have followed the steps advised by Sallyās I would have orange hair instead of rose gold and it probably would have fallen out. Bleaching is completely unnecessary. Go to Marieās, not Sallyās for advice and products. The products are only a dollar or two cheaper on Amazon so if you do need a product same day, this is the place to buy it. Marieās customer service and expertise has earned my loyalty for my beauty needs.

THE place for nail polish
Marie's is where I go to purchase my shade of nail polish (OPI Aphrodite's Pink Nightie) and they have it at a reasonable price. They also were having their St. Patrick's Day special that included a discount on what you purchased. So...I wanted to buy two bottles of the nail polish but, alas, they only had one. But I still saved 20%!

Appreciate COVID considerations
Thank you for continuing to protect your customers and yourselves. Stacey did a great haircut, as always, and I felt very comfortable and safe as sheās still wearing her mask. In addition, front store staff were masked even though no customers were present, thereās still one door each for entrance and exit and hand sanitizer in various places.

Marieās always has what I need. I dye my own hair and they have the best products. They also have really great pedicure materials.

Following all safety protocols
Marieās is a relaxing, pleasant place to go for a mani/pedi. Iāve had services from both of their nail artists, and they are both very good. I went in today for the first time since they reopened, and felt very safe. They are following all safety protocols. KaoLee did my mani/pedi today. She is on time, very pleasant and professional. She does an awesome job with my ingrown nails, I highly recommend her!

Almost always have the answers
Everytime I go in to get something I ask whoever is at the counter and they almost always have the answers needed with out asking anyone for answers. They are very nice and not overbearing when i come in there. Unfortunately the prices are sometimes more than i can afford. Otherwise hats off to whoever runs and manages the retail side, they have amazing employees.

A truly ācustomer orientedā business! Marieās is hands down the best salon and beauty supply store in Alaska. Stacey is an excellent stylist, really listens, and is creative and patient! The store has an amazing selection of supplies and styling tools. I once returned a blow dryer I didnāt like and they took it back no questions asked! I believe they really wanted to help me find the right tool, and I wonāt shop anywhere else! I look forward to āinsomnia nightā and ācurls nite outā thank you Marieās!!
Squeezed me in
I had my hair colored by Jalynne and she was phenomenal!! I had my appointment booked 4 days before my wedding and somehow the scheduler messed things up and when I came for my appointment, I was told they wonāt have time to do my hair and that they are fully booked for the rest of the week. I almost left in tears! Jalynne spoke with her manager and they both came back to me to figure out how to fix the issue. Jalynne ended up having me come back the next day and squeezed me in between her other appointments! She completely restored my faith in the salon!
Taking Care of My Curls
Got some great 2nd day hair using Deva Curl foam and something new- the set it free finish I learned about at curls night out! Thanks for for goodies and all the information, itās so nice to finally have some guidance in taking care of my curls! Stacy has given me 2 Deva cuts now and she has been very helpful in talking me through different techniques and suggestions.

I have gotten so many compliments on the curls
I got the crazy notion in my head that there had to be someone in town who not only knows how to cut curly hair, but can also teach me what to do with it. I found the right place! I had never heard of a Deva Cut, the very nice receptionists answered all of my questions and, although they were pretty booked up, they got me on a wait list and sure enough they got me worked in fast. Stacey was my hairdresser and she was fantastic! Sometimes, it can be awkward for me to meet and talk with new people. She was warm and inviting and kept an easy flow of conversation. She was very patient and thorough explaining every step of the Deva Cut process and stayed to help me afterward when I had more questions about the products I bought. The whole atmosphere of the salon is comfortable and quiet. I really enjoyed coming here and will be back! Also, my hair has Never looked better. I have gotten so many compliments on the curls and overall, I am very happy with how easy it is and how great it feels.

I loved this salon so much! I put in an appointment request a few weeks ago and I got a response right away. I set my appointment to be a hair cut to donate my hair. Jalynne was my stylist and she was so sweet! Explained everything, was so quick to ask if I had any questions and if I wanted water to drink as I was settling in. She did an amazing job with taking care of me and taking great before and after pictures. Iām so satisfied with how my hair turned out! My hair was so long and thick and I was so scared to try out this place that I have never tried before. Especially since I am new to this area. I really recommend giving this salon a shot and you will be satisfied with the results.

I needed information since the flat irons are not cheap and brushes do different styles for different hair but every person there was very, very helpful, polite and informative. I definitely felt pampered and cared for!
This is such an amazing place with caring people! Stacy is great! The first time I got my haircut with her, it turned out very pretty but after going home and messing with my hair a bit more, I realized I wanted more layers. I gave them a call and they got me in with Stacy again the following week who gave me another shampoo, style, and beautiful cut at no extra cost! I definitely felt pampered and cared for!
