Use Your Nose as a Guide

The best way to get symmetrical brows that are proportionate to your face is to use your nose as a guide. When done correctly, your nose should be able to tell you where your eyebrows will ideally begin and end.

To start, use a small makeup or eyebrow brush and line it up with your nostril. The point where your eyebrow and the brush meet is where your brow should ideally start. Next, take the brush and angle it from the outside of your nose to the corner of your eye at a 45-degree angle. Where the brow and the brush intersect is where your brow should ideally end.

Utilize Clear Mascara

Do you ever have days where you wake up and your eyebrow hairs are all out of place? It’s not uncommon to have unruly brow hairs, especially for those whose eyebrows are naturally unruly. For situations like this, there is one item that you should always keep in your arsenal: clear mascara.

Clear mascara is used to give an extra boost to those with naturally gorgeous lashes, but you can also use it on your brows. If you wake up with unruly brow hairs, use your clear mascara to help force them into place. Simply swipe some of the mascara across your brow, wait for it to dry, and go about your brow routine!

Tweeze in Natural Light

Your first instinct may be to tweeze your eyebrows first thing in the morning when you’re getting ready or later at night as you’re winding down from the day. However, it’s best to tweeze your eyebrows at a time of day when you can take advantage of the natural light.

Natural light will make it easier to see all the hairs on your face. If you tweeze your brows in artificial light, there is a good chance that you will miss a few hairs and you’ll have to go back for them later. Another solution is to use a lighted mirror that mimics sunlight to ensure you get all the tiny brow hairs.
